Our
mission
Our
Vision
The GBMCAA will encourage and promote a culture of scholarship and a community of mentorship by developing a sustainable pipeline between Morehouse College and Greater Boston. This vision will be realized by providing mentorship programs for local students, granting full and partial scholarships to Boston-area students at Morehouse College, coordinating internship programs with corporate partners, and linking graduates to career opportunities in Boston. The GBMCAA will continually strive to be the leading chapter of Morehouse College alumni.
Our
History
The Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association (GBMCAA) was founded in 1972 by Dr. Louis Sullivan '54. Like most alumni associations, its function is to serve the best interests of the college and the community within a particular geographical region. Proudly boasting more than 200 active members, the majority of whom are African American male professionals or graduate students, the GBMCAA supports Boston and many of the surrounding communities throughout New England by providing mentoring, granting scholarships, and establishing long-standing relationships.
"Whatever you do, strive to do it so well that no man living and no man dead and no man yet to be
born could do it any better."
